Broadcaster Takes Award-Winning YouTube Series The Overlap to Four Part Series on Flagship Entertainment Channel

The award-winning YouTube series, The Overlap, hosted by Gary Neville is taking to the road for a four-part series from Buzz16 for SKY MAX; Gary Neville’s The Overlap on Tour.

The show, which will feature Neville alongside Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher as well as a host of special guests from the worlds of sport, music and entertainment, is produced by leading sports and factual production company, Buzz16, in their first commission for SKY MAX. It will start filming in February and is due to premiere on the channel later this year.

The series will follow footballing legends Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher, on a road trip visiting four cities across the UK as part of their ‘The Overlap Live Arena Tour’, intermixed with the sporting threesome exploring iconic tourist attractions, grassroots clubs and other locations in the surrounding  region that were memorable throughout their footballing career.

The commission is the latest in a raft of factual and factual entertainment shows from Buzz16’s impressive slate over the last 18 months which includes the award-winning Micah Richards: Tackling Racism for Sky Documentaries, Beijing Winter Olympics daily round up show, Winter Pass, for Eurosport, The Power of Sport (for Eurosport/Discovery) showcasing athletes whose impact on the world goes beyond their sport, Playing with Pride (BT Sport), a light entertainment show discussing the past, present and future of LGBTQ+ representation in sport, and the Class of ’92: Full Time, a docu-series for Sky Sports that follows six former Manchester United players as they experience the highs and lows of running non-league Salford F.C.

Gary Neville’s The Overlap on Tour is a four part series commissioned by Phil Edgar-Jones for Sky Max. It is directed by Jeanette Goulbourn, with VT directors Pete Deagle and Alex Oldham, and is produced by Jamie Kelly and executive producers are Scott Melvin, Luke Shiach and Tom Robinson for Buzz16.
